Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise which focuses on the connection between mind and body to improve your fitness as well as your overall health and general wellbeing.

If you’re new to Pilates, we would suggest booking onto one of our beginners’ classes. The beginners’ classes have been designed to provide you with a gentle introduction and teach you the key principles of the practice, which include:

– Alignment
– Breath
– Centring
– Concentration
– Control
– Precision
– Flow

From beginner through to intermediate and advanced, our Pilates classes are offered in levels, providing you with the option to select the intensity of your own workout and develop at your own pace.

At Discover Physio, we tailor our Pilates classes to respect the individual needs of everyone in the class and support each person’s strengths and weaknesses. We like to deliver our classes in a relaxed, low-pressure and inclusive environment which allows everyone to feel welcome. One of our key mottos is, ‘There’s always an alternative!’. Should you struggle to perform any of the exercises, you will always be informed of an alternative so that you can continue to take part in the class and enjoy your workout as part of the group.

Our pre- and post-natal Pilates classes are provided on a one-to-one basis or can be delivered to small groups with prior organisation. Get in touch for more information.
